Wealaka Chapter became an official chapter of The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) in December 2009 and encompasses the communities of Bixby, Jenks and Glenpool.  The organizing regent is Marilyn Means and we now have 25 members with our four new members receiving their DAR pins in May.    We have been quite busy for a new chapter.  We participated in the Veterans Day Parade in 2009 and in a U. S. Flag retirement ceremony with other Tulsa area chapters in June of 2010.  Our chapter has also supported Blue Star Mothers, veterans hospitals, veteran promotions and supplied children's books to local libraries.  A summer social, just for fun, was hosted at the regent's home in August where she was presented  with a chapter regent pin.   This pin and ribbon will be passed on to future Wealaka chapter regents.  Come and join us, we'd love to have you!
Wealaka Chapter meets on alternating Saturdays and Thursdays the third week of the month at 10:00 a.m.  For more information please contact our chapter regent.
Please visit National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) for information on joining.
