their Blankets of Hope project. We made lap-size quilts that were sent
to injured soldiers.

Florence Alkire of Woodward Chapter is the recipient of the
National Daughters of the American Revolution Community Service Award.
This award recognizes worthy residents, from a variety of walks of life,
for voluntary achievements in cultural, educational, humanitarian,
patriotic, historical, and citizenship endeavor, or in environmental conservation.
