Chapter InformationThe Bartlesville Chapter was organized in 1915. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month, October through May. During Constitution Week in September we hold a membership tea to kick off our new DAR year. A George Washington Tea is held in February when we honor our first President of the United States and present the Good Citizens awards. We also have a Flag Day Luncheon in June honoring our flag and our veterans.During Constitution Week we take the opportunity to present a display of items indicative to our constitution and other American artifacts at our local library. We encourage prospective members to visit one of our meetings so we can tell them more about our chapter and our special interests. Those interests include our patriotic endeavors, our veterans and our interest in Bacone College. We collect "silver" at every meeting and divide the proceeds between the college and the veterans. The Daughters of the American Revolution are committed to God, Home and Country, and the promotion and preservation of education, history and patriotism in our schools and our communities. |
