Chapter History

The Malcolm Hunter Chapter was founded in February 1980. Our namesake, Malcolm Hunter, was born about 1755 in Virginia and died in Bledsoe County, Tennessee after 1815. He served in the 8th District militia under Lt. William Bryan of Botetourt County, Virginia in 1781. Malcolm lived in that area which later became Montgomery County, Virginia.
